Our Mission Statement

At Children For Change International, we are dedicated to eradicating the toxic culture of bullying and hate crimes among our young ones. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and empowered and our mission is to create a world where no child feels isolated, belittled, or lost. With compassion and guidance, we strive to build a community that nurtures kindness, empathy, and self-love.

Children For Change International is a non-profit organization that works with young people who have experienced bullying, resulting in emotional instability and behaviors that affect their self-esteem both internally and externally. Our goal is to foster positive personal development and design programs to address problems and deliver support in creating self-love and self-confidence to uplift their lives.

Character Building Boot Camp:

Due to addiction to technology, video game addiction, entitlement, laziness, and poor parenting increasing numbers of children become stagnate in their development. This three weeks Bootcamp program is a great intervention for children who are struggling to develop relationships with peers.

Mass Shooting 101: Since 2015, over 19,000 people have been shot and wounded or killed in a mass shooting. Active shooters are unpredictable and evolve quickly, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter. This program is designed for good practices for coping with an active shooter. The trainings are done at our local precincts.

Anti Bullying Power-Walk: October is Bullying Prevention month. Annually, youth,family and community walk from Flatbush Junction to Grand Army plaza with the mission of bringing awareness to bullying and hate crimes in our community.

Don’t Hate, Appreciate Talent Show: Children from different communities and cultures come together to showcase their talents. Every child is a winner! This give the them opportunity to embrace their difference and respect each other for who they are.

Cut out the Hate: Young men in the community meet at Max-U Barbershop and to their experiences of hate crimes. They also have the opportunity to learn business management, time management, and trade with licensed barbershop training.

Game Nights: Bi-monthly, youth meet and play games, enjoy pizza with great music. This time together builds bonds, self-confidence and team work.

Parent Support: We understand that some parents feel helpless when dealing with a child who is bullied at school. This program increase parents’ sense of confidence, feeling confident as a parent leads to the healthy social and emotion development of a child.

Together we can disrupt the cycle of bullying/hate crimes, equipping our youth to be part of the solution through empathy-building and providing them the break to grow to become tomorrow’s leaders through self-confidence.

Every child has a unique voice and perspective, and we encourage them to use their voices to create positive change. Children can be powerful advocates for themselves and for others, and we are here to help them find their voice to make a difference in the world.

Who We Are

Children For Change International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Brooklyn, NY, that supports children and youth who are or have been victims of bullying. C2I has an insatiable desire to build self-esteem and self-worth through voluntary services in our community, leadership training, and learning how to break the ice when meeting new people.

The Reality of Bullying

The facts are clear; yet, we are blind to the reality that all violence has stains of bullying.
Bullying affects children of all races, ethnicities, religions, national origins, gender identities, income levels, or disability statuses. Recent studies have shown that children who experience bullying are at an increased rate of depression and anxiety. Moreover, some long-term effects are that victims also had lower educational qualifications and trouble keeping a job and honoring financial obligations.

  • 160,000 students don’t attend school each day due to bullying
  • More than 3.2 million students report being bullied
  • 19% of students in grades 9-12 report being bullied on school property 
  • 60% of school shooters were bullied
